★★★★★ 5 stars but 1 problem
Sun Jul 24 2022 TheChef3872I think this game is great overall and I love it! Fun game to play when I’m bored. But I have 1 problem. on certain levels like in easy golf 2 the par is four but it takes way longer to do. Overall I think the game is great and you should play it
Also I love multiplayer
★★★★★ Mediocre game hampered by Apple Arcade exclusivity
Wed Dec 27 2023 ThatOneStickmanThis is a pretty mediocre game, it's something I play whenever I'm waiting for something else.
The courses are decent, they introduce some decent mechanics and they have their own gimmicks.
The shooting mechanics aren't good, and basically relies on muscle memory instead of skill. It'd be a little better if you could cancel a shot, and if there was a tracer coming from your arrow (though, there are hats that fix that last one.)
The loot box mechanic is still present, though you can't buy cash anymore. This is good because there's no direct gambling, but it's also bad because it forces the unchanged grind on you. The only way you could get cash is if you get the bucks randomly floating around the courses (which should never be done in serious rounds,) if you win a multiplayer game (if you're lucky enough to find one,) or if you trial and error your way through the daily race (which is slow and inefficient.)
The turn based multiplayer rounds work well enough, but I can't really say how good the race mode works. I've never gotten a single player to join me. I'm not sure how many people are playing the normal version of this game, but if this version only allows you to play with other Apple Arcade members, the user base here might be much smaller.
I wouldn't expect much from this game, maybe you'll find something you could do to kill time while you're waiting for a different game to load, or maybe you'll find some kind of niche. Either way, there are most certainly better golf games out there.
★★★★★ Gimmicks Ruin the Experience
Thu Apr 06 2023 AppDude27I enjoy Stickman Golf. I’ve played since the very first game in the series.
Stickman Golf 3 is a fun experience, but after the first two cups, the game starts to throw sticky courses and anti gravity at you. It’s just feels very gimmicky.
Also a lot of these courses makes me feel like it’s either extremely difficult or relies heavily on power ups to get a hole in one.
I thought part of what makes mini golf fun is the thrill of getting a hole in one. Where in this game, the opportunity of getting that potential hole in one just seems either impossible or very unlikely.
It seems to me that Stickman Golf 3 tries to go by its own rules when it comes to mini golf. While that isn’t a bad thing, it should definitely be more apparent either through some form of communication or even the tutorial that the real strategy of this game isn’t necessarily getting hole in one’s but instead adapting multiple strategies like power up’s, costumes, and (in some situations the in-app purchases for non arcade versions) to do better.
Again it’s not necessarily a bad thing, but for those looking for a more honest mini golf experience, that may not be the case here. I’m glad that the arcade version doesn’t have in-app purchases because I probably would’ve uninstalled the regular, in-app purchases version immediately.
Overall a great experience. It’s nice seeing what the Stickman Golf games have done over the years, but I do have concerns over the identity of this series. I think the developers are losing sight of their original idea of the game and are instead moving towards gimmicks and excuses for the in-app purchases. Again, great game but be aware of the gimmicks.
★★★★★ Weird Game Center Issue
Sat Dec 20 2025 LoganL2Sorry, I couldn't find an email to complain to so… I'm complaining here. Whenever I open the app, the normal Game Center stuff pops up with info and stuff, like most Game Center apps. However, at the end of the sequence, my GC profile image suddenly appears on the bottom left side. Now see, not only does this not happen in other games, but in this app it's especially bad, because that's where the left and right arrow buttons are. And it happens EVERY time, effectively making this an unplayable app, because I can't access the left arrow button, because that's where the silly GC profile thing lands. Isn't that ridiculous? Please please look into this. I'd love to send a screenshot to someone in charge to show you the problem.
★★★★★ I’m shocked this doesn’t have worse reviews
Thu Sep 09 2021 SunlapseThis game’s iCloud data sync functionality is complete garbage. Literally only the first time that I opened the app did it show my leveled character from the original SSG3 with all of the hats/outfits/etc that I had unlocked. I then proceeded to spend TWENTY DOLLARS to open up some new card packs and got ready to dive back into stick golf for a while. That was two weeks ago. Every day since then I open the app and I see a level 4 beginner account with none of the unlocks I earned and none of the stuff that I just paid $20 for. For some reason this game struggles to sync data and I sincerely hope that you devs do something about it because as of right now it pretty much feels like you stole $20 from me.
★★★★★ Fun game but one issue
Wed Sep 07 2022 ArestaticI’ve enjoyed playing this game as I often find myself opening the app whenever I'm bored. However there’s one major bug with the turn-based multiplayer mode. I would make a couple games to play with friends and noticed that after a few rounds or so, all the on-going and previous games will get erased along with all the stats. Its understandably frustrating when you’re halfway through a game and now they can’t be finished.
★★★★★ Poor Game Center syncing
Sat Jul 09 2022 Bcm0987The game play is great, but after playing about 15 courses and making it well into Tour 4, I opened it on my second iOS device - and most of my Tour progress was lost. That is, I still have the first course of four Tours unlocked, but courses I’d previously played are locked. I still have the bux, and all the hats, golfers, etc that I’d earned…and the stats even accurately reflect the stars I’d earned - but I have to start from scratch with playing the courses. Kind of frustrating, and a weird bug.
★★★★★ Almost a 5…
Wed Feb 28 2024 Oscy999there is one thing in this game that’s so small but bothers me so much… one of the modes in the PvP is “flappy golf” but the jump buttons in this mode are spread apart wayyy further than in the actual full “flappy golf” game… so when I play the pvp mode on this game i’m always missing the jump buttons cause they are closer together in the “flappy golf” game…. besides that this game is flawless and fun
